The simple way of reading codes - Designed by Baumer: the new IDC200

Sensor and industrial camera expert Baumer has further extended its broad product portfolio by a new, compact multicode reader. The IDC200 is based on an innovative technology platform and is the latest highlight in the Baumer Smart Vision portfolio. It offers high usability at easy installation and commissioning in parallel. The device is capable of processing up to 40 frames per second, even of different code types. The bright integrated illumination will solve even challenging applications without the need for any external illumination, and hence without additional costs and effort.

Compact multicode reader  Typically for Baumer, IDC200 merges compact design with high reliability: the reading rates of all conventional 1D/2D codes is excellent even under demanding conditions. Baumer thus provides the appropriate code reader solution for applications in industrial automation. Reflective surfaces, changing light conditions or module sizes at the minimum resolution limit are no problem at all for the IDC200. The device is also capable of directly reading marked and dot peening codes.

Easy integration and commissioning
In the design, Baumer placed great emphasis on fast integration and easy commissioning. Using the USB-C port, the multicode reader can be easily connected to a computer and put into operation via web interface. Thanks to Auto-setup, just one click will suffice for reading multiple different codes. The space-saving housing, matching accessories, Ethernet and USB-C interfaces and TCP/IP, Profinet and DIO protocols ensure easy code reader integration. Freely configurable data telegrams enable easy integration of the
IDC200 into existing systems. Whether the Baumer multicode reader can solve a specific task according to customer's requirements is quickly identified without the need for on-spot device tests.

"The
IDC200 makes the Baumer code identification expertise in identification accessible in the form of an outstanding user-friendly multicode reader. This adds another highlight to our range of compact, high-performance vision solutions," says Product Manager Klaus Hartinger about the new product development.

Fields of application from intralogistics to electronics manufacturing
The IDC200 application range includes quality control in assembly or track and trace tasks in intra-logistics as well as in shop floor processes with all their special requirements. In electronics production, for example, codes on PCBs are usually tiny and often lasered or with dot peening directly onto the boards. The IDC200 will quickly and reliably read codes with a module size of up to 0.03 mm (1D) or 0.07 mm (2D). In intralogistics, the compact device can be easily integrated even in confined installation space, like in AGVs.

The IDC200 multicode reader is the first product based on the modern Baumer Smart Vision platform. Based on this platform, Baumer will grow a new, innovative portfolio of vision sensors.

The IDC200 is immediately available.
